In a new escalation of violence between the two countries, Pakistani strikes on the Khost province, in Afghanistan killed at least 10 people including 9 children, reports The National on November 25th.

Other civilians were injured due to attacks on the Kunar and Paktika regions. This follows suicide attacks this month in Pakistan, including one in the capital Islamabad which was claimed by the Pakistani Taliban.

Relations between both countries have been deteriorating since the breakdown of peace talks in Istanbul last month, with both sides appearing unwilling to compromise.
