Yemen’s Houthis announced that their Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd Al-Karim al-Ghamari was killed as he carried out “his duties”, Reuters reported on October 16th.

Israel claimed that it carried out an airstrike that was directed at al-Ghamari and other senior officials, with Ghamari reportedly being a member of the “Jihad Office,” that oversaw military activity.

The Houthis have warned Israel that it will “receive its deterrent punishment for the crimes it has committed” without blatantly pointing the finger at Israel, over the killing of the Chief of Staff.
