Israeli members of the Jewish Power Party were wearing noose pendants in parliament on December 8th, according to the Middle East Eye and agencies.

The party is led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is a proponent of a bill which would make Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis on “nationalistic grounds” eligible for the death penalty.

On November 10th, the proposed bill passed its first reading in the Knesset, although two subsequent readings are required for the bill to become law.
