Maghrebi is currently running an internship program ideally suited to students studying journalism or those who think that journalism would be a suitable career choice. Many of our interns have studied/are studying international relations and see journalism as a good choice as a second choice to say, diplomacy for example.
The internship varies in length and can be either on location in Marrakech or in your home country via zoom mentoring. Typically it is remote and we have intern journalists all over the world currently working with us. During the summer break some students come to us and opt for the intensive three month full time internship. Some others now are working with our Youtube Channel Middle East Explained
The success of the program, we believe, is its flexibility.
Current universities which are working with us are or our interns are studying with:
Sheffield University (UK)
Edinburgh Napier (UK)
Robert Gordon University (UK)
St Andrews (UK)
Westminster University (UK)
King’s College, London (UK)
University of Oxford (UK)
George Washington University (USA)
Aston University (UK)
Durham University (UK)
UCL (UK)
Goldsmiths (UK)
University of Edinburgh (UK)
London South Bank University (UK)
Portsmouth University (UK)
UAL (UK)
University of Copenhagen (DK)

Taking part in an internship gives the intern three essential journalistic experiences.
- The newsroom environment
- Mentoring from the owner plus editors
- Great showcasing of work on the website
In a number of cases, interns have progressed to get jobs in media and communication fields.
